Professional Profile

Lynn Wilson is Executive Director for SeaTrust Institute, and principal for the consulting firm OSSIA which facilitates collaborative and strategic processes. She regularly presents at international conferences on environmental, public policy and social issues including: plenary for Littoral 2004 in Aberdeen, Scotland; 2007 Amsterdam Conference on the Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change; 2008 International Symposium on Society and Resource Management. Lynn was the head of delegation for SeaTrust Institute at the 2009 United Nations Climate Meetings in Copenhagen, COP 15 and is currently leading the Consortium on Climate Change and Population Health.

Lynn delivers online courses through regional colleges and nonprofit programs and conducts webinars. She has extensive experience as a policy analyst, legislative advisor, science writer and strategic business consultant. Lynn holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Public Policy/Administration from the Union Institute & University, Masters in Journalism with honors from Central State University, BA and graduate study from the University of Oklahoma. Her work appears in Delivering Sustainable Coasts; Connecting Science and Policy (2004), numerous legislative and policy reports, scientific articles in technical and trade publications and business processes guides through ICG’s Technical Publication Series. Lynn serves on advisory and review boards for education, science and the environment and has contributed independent policy reviews including the 2006 NSTC Joint Subcommittee on Science and Technology publication Charting the Course for Ocean Science in the Unites States: Research Priorities for the Next Decade.
